Tanzania Safari Accommodations

Accommodation while on safari is as varied as the wildlife. Your choice of accommodation not only needs to be chosen to suit your comfort level but also your pocket. The saying "one mans heaven is another mans hell" rings very true when it comes to choosing safari accommodation that works for you.
Our preferred accommodation is lightweight mobile camps. In our opinion this is the best way to access remote wilderness areas but not destroy the bank balance. It is also a private camp making it possible that you and your guide can design your day-to-day itinerary to your specific needs.
One would expect to pay a lot more staying in permanent lodges when in-fact it is much more expensive to stay in small tented camps. Generally these tented camps are beautiful small camps located in very nice locations with in National Parks of reserves. We like to use any of the Asilia Lodges and Camps as well as Serengeti Savanna Camps. Expect to pay in the range of US$400 – US$500 per day when staying in these small luxury camps.
A mix of the private lightweight camp and a luxury permanent camp is the ideal way to experience remote wilderness, great wildlife viewing and both basic and luxury accommodations.
Please read more under the various accommodation pages to learn more about every type of camp we can include in your safari.
