Wayo Green Camp

Watch a video about the meals in the Green Camp
The aim of our camp is to access remote areas in the easiest and cheapest manner but still give guests a high level of comfort. We designed this camp to be one of the most environmentally friendly camps operating in Tanzania today. Read how we do this.
Our camp is designed to fit on a small trailer towed behind the client safari vehicle. So no supply vehicles or crew, thus making us light and flexible which cuts costs at the same time.
Tents are 3-man dhome tents that are easy to set-up with plenty of space for 2 people. You are not going to do the Macarena in it but it is great for a good nights rest in a really remote area. Sleeping is on comfy mattresses on the ground, no camp beds. Space, space, space = cost, cost, cost! Toilets will be shallow pit latrines and bucket showers. We will carry water with us for showers.
Hopefully all the meals will be under the stars but in the case of bad weather we do have a small mess tent.
The meals will still be outstanding. The majority of the preparations will be done in our kitchens in Arusha, this way much more elaborate meals can be served. Our chef will join the safari and do all the final preparations of the food and help around the camp.
Cold drinks, beers and a small wine selection will be available.
Although we will spend time inside National Parks this won't be the only focus of the safari. Many days will be spent in private concession areas bordering National Parks. For one it is much cheaper staying here but these areas are not bound by National Park rules giving us more freedom to enjoy activities outside of the vehicle, such as walking.

This is also known as " private mobile camping safari", " private lightweight camping safari", " mobile camping safari", " mobile tented camp".
