Since it can be expensive to go on safari privately, we've put together these group departures specifically for singles or couples who do not mind joining like-minded travellers in a small group in order to get the best rates.

From US$3,050 per person for an 8-day active safari to remote areas of the Northern Tanzanian National Parks.

Itinerary:

Day 1 Arrive and overnight in Karama Lodge

Day 2 Depart from Arusha by road and do a walk and local lunch in Mto Wa Mbu village with an afternoon game drive inside Lake Manyara National Park. Overnight in Rhotia Valley lodge in the Crater Highlands.

Day 3 Full day game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater and continue after the drive to Ndutu safari lodge for overnight.

Day 4 Morning game drive out of Ndutu and game drive in to the Serengeti walking area. Afternoon walk and overnight in the Wayo Green Camp.

Day 5 Full day walking safari and overnight in the Wayo Green Camp.

Day 6 Full day walking safari and overnight in the Wayo Green Camp.

Day 7 Game drive out of the area and overnight in a lodge in the central Serengeti area (Kati Kati camp).

Day 8 Depart on a scheduled flight out of the Serengeti. Day room at KIA lodge and depart on KLM in the evening.
