Loliondo Wildlife area

In Loliondo, one is rarely out of sight of some form of wildlife, and very often herds of Maasai livestock with a lone herdsman or two will be visible somewhere. This area we know as Ololosokwan. Between these two places is a region of rocky granite outcrops (kopjes) of exquisite landscaped grandeur. One of the great beauties of Loliondo is that, being outside a National Park, there is freedom. Freedom to walk with the Maasai, go fishing, do some night driving, visit Maasai villages and so on, and from December to March much of the Serengeti migration moves south through the area adding this excitement to all the other ingredients.

Being on the border of the Serengeti we can also enjoy game drives in the Northern Serengeti. Loliondo is very much part of the Serengeti eco system and one should not be put off by it not being inside the National Park.
